Doctor Eisley is originally from the small town of Nampa Idaho. After graduating high school he served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Brazil. During this time Dr. Eisley became fluent in Portuguese and has since become semi-fluent in Spanish. After serving in Brazil, Doctor Eisley attended and graduated with honors from Boise State University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. While attending Boise State, Doctor Eisley volunteered with a hospice program, which increased his desire to serve in a health care setting. He later graduated with honors from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry.
During his time as an optometry student, Doctor Eisley was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honors Society. He also volunteered at several community and public service events including the ACT Kids Health Care, MWU/Foundation for Fighting Blindness, TOPS Community College Athletes Vision Screening, and Hopefest Vision Screening. As a fourth year optometry student, Doctor Eisley worked as a teacher’s assistant for the 3rd year low vision course. It was during this time that his interest in ocular disease began to develop.
After graduating from optometry school, Doctor Eisley went on to complete an ocular disease and primary care residency at the Veteran Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Sierra Vista, Arizona. As a resident at the VA, Doctor Eisley had the privilege of providing eye care for the nation’s honorable veteran population. This experience solidified Doctor Eisley’s passion for diagnosing and managing/co-managing many common ocular conditions including glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He also gained experience participating in the care and management of many other ocular conditions including keratoconus, iritis, artery/vein occlusions, viral and bacterial infections and more. Doctor Eisley also has an interest in and experience with fitting specialty contact lenses including gas permeable and scleral lenses.
In 2019, Doctor Eisley moved with his family to Sparks Nevada and worked in Reno and Winnemucca for a little over four years before opening Bluetree Eyecare in October of 2023. He loves to learn and is dedicated to staying up to date with current studies and optometry practices with new and sophisticated equipment in order to provide the best care to his patients.
Doctor Eisley loves being an optometrist, but if you ask him, he will tell you that his most important titles involve his faith and family. He strives to be a kind and loving Husband and Father. He met and married his lovely wife Hollie in 2005 and together they have four wonderful children: Caden, Jacob, Liam, and Sophia. He and his family have made Sparks their home and love being a part of this community.
